August 2002 Dividend

European Assets Trust announces that the net dividend of Euro 0.075 per share
for August 2002 will be paid on 28 August 2002 to shareholders on the register
on 16 August 2002, having an ex-dividend date of 14 August 2002.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this August dividend payment.
