Change in management arrangements

The Boards of European Assets Trust have been advised by F&C Investment Business Limited ('F&C') that Paras Anand, the lead manager of the Company's portfolio, has decided to leave F&C.  Paras and Sam Cosh have been managing the Company's investment portfolio since June 2010, supported by the rest of the F&C European Equity team. Until he leaves, Paras will continue to manage the portfolio with Sam and will be overseeing an orderly management transition within F&C over the coming months.  The Boards are working closely with F&C and will make a further announcement once succession arrangements have been confirmed.
