The Boards of European Assets Trust NV ('the Company') report, with deep regret, that Mr Willem Maris died suddenly on 13 December 2010.  Mr Maris had served as a supervisory Director of the Company since 2001. He was previously CEO of ASML Holding NV. The Boards would like to record their sincere gratitude for the valuable contribution that Mr Maris made to the Company.
