EUROPEAN ASSETS TRUST NV ('EAT')
The Supervisory Board of EAT announces that it has authorised the Management
Board to declare dividends totalling Euro 1.56 per share in the year to 31
December 2001. Those dividends will be equal in size and will be declared and
paid monthly.
The first dividend of Euro 0.13 per share has been declared for January 2001
for payment to shareholders on the register on 12 January 2001. This is based
on a Net Asset Value of Euro 13.68 on 28 December 2000. It is expected that
the shares will be quoted ex this dividend on the London Stock Exchange on 8
January 2001 and paid on 22 January 2001.
At the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held on 29 December, the
necessary resolutions to facilitate scrip dividends were passed by
shareholders.
Elections for the scrip dividend alternative must be received by the Company's
Registrars, in accordance with the letter to shareholders dated 12 December
2000, no later than 5pm on 12 January 2001.
