European Assets Trust announces that the net dividend of Euro 0.075 per share
for September 2002 will be paid on 25 September 2002 to shareholders on the
register on 13 September 2002, having an ex-dividend date of 11 September 2002.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this September dividend payment.
