European Assets Trust announces that the dividend of Euro 0.02 per share for
September 2003 will be paid on 24 September 2003 to shareholders on the register
on 12 September 2003, having an ex-dividend date of 10 September 2003.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this September dividend payment.
