European Assets Trust announces that the dividend of Euro 0.02 per share for
October 2003 will be paid on 29 October 2003 to shareholders on the register on
17 October 2003, having an ex-dividend date of 15 October 2003.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this October dividend payment.
