August Dividend
European Assets Trust NV announces that the dividend of Euro 0.155 per share for
August 2004 will be paid on 25 August 2004 to shareholders on the register on 13
August 2004, having an ex dividend date of 11 August 2004.
Taken together with the dividends of Euro 0.155 per share paid in January and
May 2004, the dividends for the year total Euro 0.465 per share. These dividends
equate to an annual dividend return to shareholders of 6%, based on the net
asset value at the end of the preceding year, in accordance with the Company's
stated policy. This return, paid by way of dividend, is funded mainly or wholly
from accumulated capital gains.
The Board is pleased to confirm that, for most shareholders, Dutch withholding
tax does not apply to this August dividend.
