European Assets Trust announces that the dividend of Euro 0.175 per share for
May 2005 will be paid on 25 May 2005 to shareholders on the register on 13 May
2005, having an ex-dividend date of 11 May 2005.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this May dividend payment.
