PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

On 3 March 2010, European Assets Trust NV bought 75,000 of its Ordinary Shares to be held in treasury at a price of £5.73 per share. 

Since the last announcement the Company has issued 6,366 of its ordinary shares held in treasury in respect of the Company's scrip dividend.

The Company's issued ordinary share capital consists of 24,937,280 shares with voting rights, of which 3,391,000 are held in treasury since commencement of its liquidity enhancement policy with 6,386,154 held in treasury prior to this.

Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights in European Assets Trust NV is 15,160,126.

The above figure (15,160,126) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, European Assets Trust NV under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
