NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS' SHARE OPTIONS



On 3 August 2001, options over 250,000 ordinary shares of 40p in European
Motor Holdings plc were granted to each of Richard Palmer and Ann Wilson,
executive directors of the company, in accordance with the Rules of the
European Motor Holdings plc 2001 Non-Approved Share Option Scheme.  The
options are exercisable in the period 3 August 2004 to 2 August 2011 at a
price of 93.5p per share, assuming achievement of the performance criteria.

Following these grants of options and the lapse of previous options granted to
Mr Palmer and Miss Wilson, they each now hold options over a total of 965,000
ordinary shares in the company.
