NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS' SHARE TRANSACTIONS


The company has today been informed of the following transaction in the
company's ordinary shares of 40p by directors:

*   Richard Palmer has today purchased 8,942 shares at a price of 105p
each and a further 9,819 shares at a price of 107p each

*   Ann Wilson has today purchased 5,825 shares at a price of 105p each
and a further 6,681 shares at a price of 107p each.

As a result of the above transactions, those directors' shareholdings are now:

*   Richard Palmer 438,743 shares (0.82% of the total issued share capital)

*   Ann Wilson 317,706 shares (0.59% of the total issued share capital).
