EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc ("EMH")

DISPOSAL

EMH is pleased to announce the disposal of the assets of the Ocean car wash
venture to IMO, a national retail car wash operator.  The cash consideration for
these assets was £1.2 million, giving rise to a profit on disposal of £0.1
million.  In the year ended 29 February 2004 this business sustained a loss
before tax of £0.2 million.  This business represented a minor part of the
Group's Motor Services Division and leaves management free to concentrate on the
Division's core business of the sale and maintenance of vehicle washing
equipment.

EMH will announce its interim results for the six months ended 31 August 2004 on
19 October 2004.
