NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS' SHARE OPTIONS

On 2 May 2003, options over 200,000 ordinary shares of 40p in European Motor
Holdings plc were granted to each of Richard Palmer and Ann Wilson, executive
directors of the company, in accordance with the Rules of the European Motor
Holdings plc 2001 Non-Approved Share Option Scheme. The options are exercisable
in the period 2 May 2006 to 1 May 2013 at a price of 126.2p per share, assuming
achievement of the performance criteria of the scheme.

Following these grants of options Mr Palmer now holds options over a total of
1,065,000 ordinary shares in the company and Miss Wilson holds options over
1,055,000 ordinary shares in the company.
