                   NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

European Motor Holdings plc has today received notification that following a
sale of 563,000 ordinary shares of 40 pence each in the Company on 7 November
2002, Acorn Income Fund Limited currently has a notifiable interest in 1,910,130
ordinary shares of 40 pence each in the Company, representing 3.65 per cent. of
the total issued share capital of that class.  The above shares are registered
in the name of Forest Nominees Limited.
