Appointment of the Chairman of the Audit Committee
The Audit Committee of Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC (the "Company")
is pleased to announce that Mr Philip E F Best has been appointed as Chairman of
the Audit Committee with immediate effect. Mr Best replaces Mr Priestley, who
has served as the Chairman of the Audit Committee since 3 October 2000. Â Mr Best
has been a director of the Company since 12 May 2009. This decision was made so
that the Company complies with the Association of Investment Company's Code of
Corporate Governance, which requires that the Chairman of the Company is not
also the Chairman of the Audit Committee (Code - C.3.1). Mr Priestley will
continue to act as the Chairman of the Board.
