Appointment of the Rt. Hon. Lord Lamont of Lerwick to the Board

The Board of Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC is pleased to announce that it has appointed The Rt. Hon. Lord Lamont of Lerwick to serve as a director of the Company with effect from 24 June 2015.

Lord Lamont is a director or advisor to a number of companies in the financial sector including Stanhope Capital, BC Partners and the Small Companies Dividend Trust PLC. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1990 to 1993 and he was MP for Kingston-upon-Thames for twenty five years. He has been a member of the House of Lords since 1998 and he was previously a director of NM Rothschild, Rothschild Asset Management, Phorm PLC and Jupiter Second Split Trust PLC. He is also a former advisor to Monsanto and to the Western Union Corporation.

Lord Lamont has confirmed that he has nothing further to disclose pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13.
