Experian appoints Chief Financial Officer and a new independent Non-Executive Director

29 April 2014 - With reference to the announcement of 16 January 2014, Experian, the global information services company, today announces the appointment of Lloyd Pitchford as Chief Financial Officer and as an Executive Director of Experian plc and the appointment of Jan Babiak as a new independent Non-Executive Director of Experian plc.

Lloyd Pitchford, aged 42, has been the Chief Financial Officer of Intertek Group plc, a global leader in the provision of quality and safety services, since April 2010. Before joining Intertek, he spent ten years at BG Group plc where he held various senior finance positions, including Group Financial Controller, and seven years at Mobil Oil in financial and commercial roles.

Jan Babiak, aged 56, previously served as a senior executive with Ernst & Young, where she held Managing Partner and Executive Board level roles in its UK and global practices, principally in the areas of technology, information technology security and risk services, and also climate change and sustainability, regulatory and public policy. Jan is a Non-Executive Director of Walgreens and Bank of Montreal, and a former Non-Executive Director of Logica plc, and joined the Board of Royal Mail plc ahead of its privatisation in 2013.

Lloyd Pitchford will join Experian in September 2014 and Jan Babiak will join with immediate effect.

Don Robert, Chief Executive Officer of Experian, said:

"It gives me great pleasure to announce that Lloyd Pitchford will be joining Experian. We have been deeply impressed by Lloyd as we have got to know him through the search process, and he will be a great fit with the Experian team. Coming to us from Intertek, a FTSE100 company, Lloyd brings deep financial knowledge and considerable experience, built up through an impressive career working in complex, multinational organisations. During his time at Intertek, he has held a wide portfolio of responsibilities, helping to deliver significant growth in financial performance.

"Jan Babiak will also be a significant addition to the Board of Experian, adding further strength in terms of its capabilities, experience and independence. During her tenure at Ernst & Young, she led the technology security and risk services practice, providing advice on information technology security and governance, transformation and programme management. These are important areas for Experian and I am delighted that she will be bringing this invaluable expertise to our Board. Jan also has excellent non-executive credentials, and has operated globally throughout her career."

Commenting on his appointment, Lloyd Pitchford said:

"I am thrilled to be joining the Experian team. Experian is a dynamic global company, with significant opportunities to expand and invest and I am looking forward to becoming part of its exciting future."
