                        Routine Drilling Progress Report



'Woodside Mauritania Pty Ltd., Operator of the Mauritania PSC A Joint Venture,
reports that the Chinguetti-4-4 appraisal well, in Block 4 offshore Mauritania,
was spudded on 26 September 2002.



On 1 October 2002, the well had been drilled to a depth of 1702 metres and the
current operation was drilling ahead in 12 1/4 inch hole.



The drill ship 'Deepwater Discovery' is drilling the well. The location is
approximately 85 kilometres southwest of Nouakchott. Water depth at the location
is 742 metres. Planned total depth is 2925 metres.



All reported depths (except water depth) are referenced to the rig rotary table. '



Fusion has a 6% interest in PSC B which covers deepwater Block 4.
