FastJet Passenger Statistics for February 2013
Commenting on the February statistics, fastjet CEO Ed Winter said: "fastjet achieved an 81% load factor in February which clearly demonstrates continuing high demand for low cost reliable air travel in Africa.
In response to this demand, fastjet is increasing its capacity by 50% and launching two more domestic routes in Tanzania. From 18 March 2013, fastjet will operate daily flights between Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro and Mwanza.
fastjet's excellent levels of punctuality and reliability continued through February, with 99.7% of flights arriving within 15 minutes of schedule, an average arrival delay of just 7 minutes, and no cancellations."

Notes:
1. "All Operations" includes statistics for fastjet Tanzania, Fly540 Kenya, Fly 540 Ghana and Fly540 Angola. Kenya statistics are estimated.
2. "Passengers" for Fly 540 operations are flown passengers and for fastjet operations are sold seats flown, in both cases excluding infants. Fastjet bookings are generally non-refundable whereas Fly 540 bookings are in some circumstances refundable.
3. "Load Factor" is the number of 'passengers" as a percentage of the number of available seats flown.
4. "fastjet Operations" includes only statistics for fastjet Tanzania operations which commenced on 29th November 2012
