Request to convene a general meeting

fastjet (AIM:FJET), Africa's low-cost airline, has today received a request under section 303 of the Companies Act 2006 (the "Act") from easyGroup Holdings Ltd, who hold approximately 12.6% of the issued share capital of the Company, (the "Proposing Shareholder") to convene a general meeting of the Company. 

The meeting has been sought to propose a resolution to remove Colin Child as a director and from the board of the Company with immediate effect.

A further announcement regarding the proposed general meeting will be made in due course.
