 PRINCIPAL SHAREHOLDERS IN FBD HOLDINGS PLC (FBD) POST TODAY'S PLACING AND BUY
                                      BACK


An announcement from FBD Holdings plc (FBD) at 3.00pm today listed the
percentage of shares held by the principal FBD shareholders following this
morning's placing by Farmer Business Developments plc of 4.5 million shares in
FBD and the subsequent buy back of 3.8m of these shares by FBD. The post placing
and buyback holding of Farmer Business Developments plc is 24.8 per cent of the
issued share capital and not 24.6 per cent as stated in the announcement. The
Free Float of shares in FBD is therefore 66.5 per cent and not 66.7 per cent as
stated in the announcement.

The principal shareholdings after the placing and buy back are as follows:

        Farmer Business Developments plc 24.8%

        FBD Trust Company Limited 8.7%

        Free Float 66.5%
