FBD Holdings plc ('FBD') was notified on 9th March, 2005 that KBC Insurance has
disposed of 9,267,549 ordinary shares in the capital of FBD on 9th March, 2005
and following this no longer holds any FBD shares. The shares disposed
represented 22.11 per cent of the issued share capital of FBD prior to the
disposal.
