Notification pursuant to Sections 67 to 79 of the Companies Act, 1990 ('Act')
FBD Holdings plc ('FBD') received notification on 30th June, 2005, that Bank of
Ireland Asset Management Limited has a notifiable interest of 3,401,881
ordinary shares in the capital of FBD representing 8.98 per cent of its issued
share capital (exclusive of treasury shares). The shares are held on behalf of a
range of clients who are each the beneficial owner of a portion of the
shareholding. A breakdown of this interest between registered holders as
required by section 71(3) of the Act is as follows:
