The Board of Northern Ireland-based First Derivatives PLC (AIM: FDP) announces
that Michael Chicken, a non-executive Director of the Company, is stepping down
with immediate effect. The Board would like to thank Mr Chicken for his service
over the past four years.



The Board is pleased to announce that Adrian John Toner joined the Company as a
non-executive Director with effect from 21st November 2005.  Mr Toner (38) is
head of the CBI and Allianz, Northern Ireland, where he is responsible for sales
and operations.  Mr Toner is currently or has been Director of the following
companies:

There is no further information to be disclosed with regard to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.


David Anderson, Chairman of First Derivatives, commented: 'Michael is Managing
Director of Merchant Place Corporate Finance which sponsored the AIM listing of
the shares in First Derivatives in March 2002 and has been a valued member of
the board since that date. At the same time, the Board and I consider that
Adrian Toner will make an excellent addition to the Board.  We look forward to
working with Adrian and benefiting from his advice and experience.'



First Derivatives also announces that David Anderson, Chairman of the Company,
has acquired a further 29,300 Ordinary Shares of the Company on 21st November in
an off-market deal at a price of £1.00 per Ordinary Share.  Mr Anderson's
beneficial holding of First Derivatives Ordinary Shares is now 69,300,
representing 0.56% of the issued share capital of the Company.
