DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 13 - Ford Motor Company today announced its board of
directors has elected Dennis J. Cirbes vice president. Labor Affairs; Bennie
Fowler a company vice president and chief operating officer of Jaguar and
Land Rover; and Barbara L. Gasper vice president, Investor Relations. The
assignments are effective immediately.
'These leaders are well positioned to handle important issues facing our
business,' said Bill Ford, chairman and CEO. 'They have the experience,
talent and drive to help accelerate our company's revitalization.'
Cirbes, 57, oversees labor policy and negotiations covering the company's
approximately 235,000 hourly employees worldwide. He has responsibility for
health care management and will lead the company's collective bargaining with
the UAW this year. He reports to Joe Laymon, vice president. Corporate Human
Resources.

'Dennis Cirbes is a consensus builder,' said Bill Ford. 'He has vast
experience in labor relations and has shown that labor and management play a
cooperative role in this competitive industry.'
'I'm looking forward to the opportunity to lead our company's continuing
efforts to strengthen relationships with our unions,' said Cirbes, who joined
Ford in 1972 and has held numerous positions in Personnel Planning and
Industrial Relations. 'This relationship is critical in moving Ford Motor
Company forward.'
Cirbes succeeds Shamel Rushwin as chief negotiator. Rushwin assumes a new
assignment as Ford Visiting University Professor, lecturing on manufacturing,
product development and labor relations at several U.S. universities. Rushwin
reports to Laymon.
Fowler, 46, has operational responsibility for manufacturing, purchasing and
product development at Jaguar and Land Rover to better leverage the benefits
of scale. He will relocate to Great Britain and report to Bob Dover, who
becomes chairman and CEO of Jaguar and Land Rover.
'Bennie Fowler is an extremely talented manufacturing and product development
executive,' Bill Ford said. 'He brings outstanding leadership capabilities
and process discipline to two of our most valued global brands.'
'I am pleased to join the Jaguar and Land Rover teams,' said Fowler, who had
been Ford's executive director, North America Product Development, since June
2000 and held a variety of manufacturing management assignments before
joining the company in 1990. 'These two great brands play an important role
in helping to accelerate our company's revitalization. It's an exciting
opportunity, and I look forward to joining Bob Dover's team.'
Gasper, 48, has overall responsibility for the company's communications and
relationships with analysts, asset managers and retail shareholders
worldwide. She will report to Allan Gilmour, vice chairman and chief
financial officer.
'Barbara Gasper is a knowledgeable and respected leader in corporate investor
relations and finance,' said Bill Ford. 'She brings a wealth of strategic
experience and tactical know-how to this very important area of our business.'
'I am delighted to be joining the Ford management team,' said Gasper, who was
senior vice president. Investor Relations at PricewaterhouseCoopers and held
senior finance positions at Lucent, Raytheon and Lukens. 'I look forward to
being part of the effort to articulate Ford's revitalization to the investment
community.'
