This is to advise you that the Board of Directors of Ford Motor Company at a
meeting held today declared dividends of 15 cents per share on the Company's
outstanding Class B Stock and Common Stock and $0.515625 a share on the
depositary shares representing its Series B Cumulative Preferred Stock ('Series
B Preferred'), payable December 3, 2001 to stockholders of record on November 2,
2001.
The amount of the dividend on the Class B and Common Stock is 50 percent less
than the dividend of 30 cents per share paid thereon in the third quarter of
2001. The amount of the dividend on the Series B Preferred is the same as the
dividend paid in the third quarter of 2001.
