FORD MOTOR COMPANY ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
• Ann Marie Petach, currently an assistant treasurer of the company, is elected
vice president and treasurer, succeeding Malcolm S. Macdonald, who is
appointed vice president of Finance, effective Nov. 1.
• Effective Nov. 1, Peter Daniel, currently controller, The Americas, is elected
vice president and chief operating officer, Ford Asia-Pacific and Africa. He
will report to Mark Schulz, executive vice president, Ford Motor Company and
president, Asia-Pacific and Africa.
DEARBORN, Mich., October 18, 2004 - Ford Motor Company announced today executive
appointments to its corporate staff and its Asia-Pacific and Africa operations.
Effective Nov. 1, Ann Marie Petach, currently an assistant treasurer of the
company, is elected vice president and treasurer, Petach, who has served in
Finance staff and management positions in the U.S., Brazil and Portugal, ranging
from profit analysis to financial planning to global banking, has been with Ford
for 20 years. She will report to Malcolm (Mac) Macdonald, who is appointed vice
president of Finance, effective Nov. 1. Macdonald, most recently the company's
treasurer, will continue to oversee the Treasurer's Office in his new role, as
well as Business Development and divestitures. He also will continue to report
to Don Leclair, a group vice president of the company and chief financial
officer.
'Over the past 20 years, Ann Marie has distinguished herself as a true leader
within our Finance and Treasury organizations,' Leclair said. 'We look forward
to the contributions she'll make in her new role, as well as to Mac's continued
leadership.'
Separately, the company announced the appointment of Peter Daniel as vice
president and chief operating officer for Ford's Asia-Pacific and Africa
operations, effective Nov. 1. Daniel, currently controller, The Americas, joined
Ford in 1971. He has held numerous international positions in Finance, including
assignments with Ford's operations in South America and Asia-Pacific. His roles
in Asia-Pacific have included Taiwan, Australia and Malaysia. In his new
position, Daniel will have direct day-to-day responsibility for Ford's
activities in the ASEAN, Australia, New Zealand, India and Africa markets. He
will report to Mark Schulz, executive vice president, Ford Motor Company and
president, Asia-Pacific and Africa.
'Peter has had an extremely distinguished career at Ford Motor Company. His
leadership and experience in some of the major markets of Ford's Asia-Pacific
and Africa operations will afford me the opportunity to dedicate more time to
our activities in China and with Mazda,' said Schulz.
