In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, Wolseley plc (the 'Company') announces that following Gareth Davis' appointment to Chairman today, Andrew Duff, chairman of the Remuneration Committee will become Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.  

As a result of Mr Davis' appointment as Chairman, he will no longer serve as a member on the Audit and Remuneration Committees with immediate effect.

Further, Mr Duff is today appointed as a member of the Audit Committee and Michael Wareing, chairman of the Audit Committee, as a member of the Remuneration Committee.
