Management Changes
Ferrexpo announces that James (Jim) North, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ferrexpo, has been appointed as an Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Jim joined Ferrexpo in November 2014 and since then he has successfully managed the Company's operations and introduced world class operating practices. Previously, Jim was Chief Operating Officer of London Mining plc, where he was accountable for setting the company's operational and investment strategy around the world. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior operational management roles in multiple commodities with Rio Tinto and BHP.
Chris Mawe will leave his position as Group Chief Financial Officer ("CFO"), once an orderly transition process has been established.
As a result, the Board has begun a formal process to identify and appoint a successor.
The Company will make a further announcement in due course once the date of Mr Mawe's departure, expected to be no later than 31 July 2021, has been determined.
Mr Mawe has vacated his role as a Director of the Company with immediate effect, and will vacate his role as a director of various Group subsidiaries.
The Board of Directors and Senior Management thank Chris for his contribution to the Company over the last 12 years and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
There is no other information concerning Jim North which is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 R of the Listing Rules.
