GENESIS EMERGING MARKETS FUND LIMITED (the 'Company')
RESULTS OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
At the Extraordinary General Meeting which took place
earlier today, the proposals to issue Rights entitling
Participating Shareholders to reclassify up to 50% of
their investment in the Company, and to establish a share
buy-back facility were passed.
Dealings in the Rights will commence on the London Stock
Exchange tomorrow, 8th February. The latest date for
shareholders to exercise Rights is Friday, 25th February,
with the reclassification of Participating Shares into
Realisation Shares taking place on Monday, 6th March
2000. Application is being made to the London Stock
Exchange for listing of the Realisation Shares.
