Immedia Broadcasting plc 27 June 2005 27 June 2005 Immedia Broadcasting Lloydspharmacy, first company to sign up for Radiovision Immedia Broadcasting plc, the live in-store radio pioneer is pleased to announce that Lloydspharmacy, the UK's largest community pharmacy operator is to launch ' Radiovision' in six of its leading pharmacies around the country for an initial three-month trial. 'Radiovision' is Immedia's latest revolutionary product. It innovatively combines live in-store radio with synchronised video content tailored for retail environments. Lloydspharmacy is the first major retailer to trial 'Radiovision' since its first public demonstration at the London Multi Channel Retail show in March this year. Immedia already broadcasts its highly successful tailored radio service ' Lloydspharmacy Live!' across the 1400 Lloyds pharmacies. The live radio station is a powerful communication tool for both staff and customers in regards to healthcare messages and has driven incremental sales. It provides live and interactive radio, which entertains and engages staff and consumers in an up-to-the-minute way that pre-recorded content does not. With 'Radiovision', Immedia continues to find innovative ways to educate and market products and services. Through this unique and impressive technology, radio works in unison with plasma screens to engage consumers and explain products and services in greater detail, as well as provide current affairs, music and personality. The specially consolidated video content can be instantly triggered by presenters when they explain products or services. In this way ' Radiovision' will educate customers on key health messages such as allergy and suncare and reinforce brand awareness in the best and friendliest way ever used in retail. Bruno Brookes, CEO of Immedia commented: 'We have had an excellent relationship with Lloydspharmacy since launching their tailored Live radio station two years ago. The sales uplift demonstrated has been positive and we are very pleased that they are the first retailer to benefit from Radiovision. This combination of radio and vision is extremely powerful and particularly relevant to retail environments where customers need to be advised and guided such as in a pharmacy. We look forward to developing this next generation in-store medium with Lloydspharmacy.' Mark Green, Commercial Director, Lloydspharmacy said: 'We are very excited to be working with Immedia Broadcasting and to be part of this innovative trial. Lloydspharmacy Live has been hugely popular and extremely successful. We hope by introducing the Radiovision concept this will enhance even further our product and service offering to customers and reinforce our standing as the largest community pharmacy chain in the UK.'
