The Company was notified on 18 October 2000 that on that date Mr John Samuel
exercised options in respect of 62,000 shares in the Company at an option
exercise price of 30p per share, and sold 10,000 ordinary 10p shares in the
Company at £8.50 per share. Following the option exercise and sale Mr Samuel's
total beneficial holiding is 479,209 shares.
