Director Shareholding

The following directors of Filtronic plc have purchased shares in the Company
today:

Professor JD Rhodes, who purchased 230,000 shares at £4.313043 per share; and
Mr. R. Blake, who purchased 2,084 shares at £4.40 per share.

As a consequence of the above transactions Professor Rhodes and his wife's
holdings have increased from 4,000,001 shares to 4,230,001 shares and Mr.
Blake's holding has increased from 6,417 shares to 8,501 shares.
