Notification of Major Interests in Shares

Filtronic plc received a notification on 12 October 2000 from
Prudential Plc informing them that as a result of recent
purchases, the notifable interest of Prudential Plc (together
with the funds that they manage on behalf of their clients) in
the ordinary share capital of the company is now 10,870,165
shares, representing 15.03% of the issued ordinary share
capital of the company.
