has been received on 2 January 2001, dated 27 December 2000, from FMR Corp, 82
Devonshire Street, Boston, MA 02109, USA in which they advise that FMR Corp
and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited
(FIL) and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, both being non-beneficial
holders, have a notifiable interest in 8,495,104 Ordinary Shares in the share
capital of Filtronic plc, representing 11.65 per cent of the Ordinary capital.
