Holding in Company

Pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1995 (as amended) the Company has
received notification from M & G Investment Management Limited that as at the
close of business on 29 December 2000, the total notifiable interest of
Prudential PLC in the ordinary shares of the Company is 10,902,298 being 14.94
per cent of the issued share capital.
