Pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1995 (as amended) a notification
was received on 27 November 2000 from Prudential plc that they (together with
the funds that they manage on behalf of their clients), have a notifiable
interest in 10,905,232 Ordinary Shares in the share capital of Filtronic plc,
representing 14.95 per cent of the Ordinary capital.
