Filtronic PLC - Holding in Company



In accordance with Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended) (the 'Act'),
the Company has received notification from Prudential plc and certain of its
subsidiary companies on 24 October 2001, the total notifiable interest of
Prudential plc in the ordinary shares of the Company is 10,290,900 being
13.97% of the issued share capital.

Percentage holdings are calculated using an issued share capital of 73,650,402
ORD GBP 0.10 shares.
