                  Sale of Powerwave Technologies Inc. shares



Since the results statement on 29th January 2007, Filtronic plc has sold a
further 6.9m shares of Powerwave Technologies Inc. ('Powerwave') common stock,
realising net proceeds of £19.0m. Total net proceeds from the sale of Powerwave
shares is now £43.2m. As a result Filtronic yesterday evening filed an amendment
to its Schedule 13G on file with the SEC as required under the Securities
Exchange Act of 1934, reporting that it holds 3,409,000 of common stock in
Powerwave, representing 2.6 percent of this class of security.
