The Company received notification on 16 January 2003 that Alasdair J D Locke,
Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, has acquired 750,000 ordinary shares in
the Company of 1 pence each at a price of 3 pence per share.

Following this acquisition, Mr Locke is beneficially interested in 7,665,740
ordinary shares, representing approximately 8.29 per cent of the Company's
issued ordinary share capital.
