Appointment of new Group Finance Director
FirstGroup is pleased to announce that Iain Lanaghan has been appointed Group
Finance Director of FirstGroup plc with effect from 1 August 2000 and will
join the Board on that date.
Iain Lanaghan MA CA (45) joined Atlantic Power Group, the oil and gas
production services company as Group Finance Director in January 1998 in order
to float the company. Later that year he led the merger with Petroleum
Geo-Services (PGS), the Norwegian Group. Since the merger he has been
responsible for raising finance for the Group's international exploration and
production business, based in London. Previously he was the Finance Director
of PowerGen International, with a balance sheet of $1bn and projects in
Europe, Australia and the Asia.
He trained with KPMG in London and Europe and PricewaterhouseCoopers
management consultants.
There are no other details required to be disclosed under paragraph 16.4 of
the Listing Rules of the UKLA.
