Fisher (James) & Sons PLC 06 December 2004 JAMES FISHER & SONS PLC: BOARD CHANGES Nick Henry appointed New Chief Executive James Fisher & Sons plc, the UK marine services provider, today announces the appointment of Nick Henry (43) as Group Chief Executive with immediate effect following the resignation of Angus Buchanan. Nick Henry joined the company from P & O in February 2003 as Managing Director of James Fisher Tankships. Angus Buchanan has been Group Chief Executive since 2002 and is resigning to enable him to give more time to his family. Tim Harris, Chairman of James Fisher said: ' I am delighted that Nick Henry, who has over 20 years of relevant experience in our industry, has agreed to become our Chief Executive. He will provide the Company with the leadership required to achieve our objective of being the UK's leading provider of marine services. I would like to thank Angus Buchanan with whom I have enjoyed working for his contribution over the last three years and wish him and his family well for the future.' Angus Buchanan former Group Chief Executive of James Fisher said: ' Following three incredibly stimulating and satisfying years as Group Chief Executive I find reconciling the requirements of a demanding job, particularly travelling away from home in Kent each week, increasingly in conflict with my desire to devote time and energy to my wife and two small children. He has worked in most aspects of shipping, including Fleet Management, and has worked extensively overseas, including posts in Pakistan, Netherlands, Singapore, H.Kong and Australia. Particular posts held include:- Head of International Container Logistics for P& O Containers, Managing Director for P&O Swire Containers (a joint P&O / Swire Group Company), Business Systems Director for P&O Nedlloyd.
