The Company was notified by Schroder Investment Management Limited on 21
September 2004 that Schroder Investment Management Limited has an interest in
6,877,307 ordinary shares of 25p each in the company ('Ordinary Shares'). This
represents approximately 14.015 per cent of the issued ordinary share capital of
the Company.

Of this holding, 1,389,840 Ordinary Shares are held by Schroder Unit Trusts
Limited (SUTL) and are registered in the name Chase Nominees Limited. A further
