JAMES FISHER AND SONS PLC
Sale of mt Supremity
James Fisher and Sons plc ("James Fisher" or the "Company"), the leading marine service provider, announces that it has concluded the sale of mt Supremity, a 4,426 dwt clean petroleum product tanker built in 2007, to Norwegian interests for a total consideration of US$10.9 million. This represents a profit over book value of circa £300k.
James Fisher acquired the vessel as part of the acquisition of F T Everard & Sons Limited.
Chairman of James Fisher, Tim Harris, commented:
"This sale brings our fleet capacity more into line with the current demands of our contract partners and further reduces the capital employed in the Marine Oil Division. The fact that the sale is in excess of book value is pleasing and is testament to the specialist nature of our tonnage."
