Paddy Power plc has applied to the Irish Stock Exchange, the London Stock
Exchange and the UK Listing Authority to block list 3,000,000 ordinary shares
which may be issued under the Power Leisure plc May 2000 Executive Option Scheme
(2,214,000 shares) and the Power Leisure plc November 2000 Option Scheme
(786,000 shares).

These ordinary shares will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares.
