Paddy Power plc Appoints Finance Director
Paddy Power plc today (1 March 2006) announces the appointment of Jack Massey as
its new Finance Director. Mr Massey (37) joins Paddy Power from ITG Europe, the
European division of the NYSE quoted Investment Technology Group Inc., where he
has been Chief Operating Officer since 2002. He will join Paddy Power in April
and be co-opted to the Board on his arrival.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Jack Massey was
educated at University College Dublin (B.Comm, D.P.A.). He has worked with
Arthur Andersen as Manager - Audit and Business Advisory Division and with
Ulster Bank Markets as Head of Financial and Management Reporting. He joined
ITG Europe in 1998 as Finance Director.
Commenting on the appointment, Paddy Power Chief Executive, Patrick Kennedy
said: 'We are delighted to have secured Jack as our new Finance Director,
particularly given his very relevant experience encompassing finance,
technology, strategy and business leadership and the investment markets. He
also has qualities and interests on which we place particular emphasis in Paddy
Power including great people skills and a love of all things sporting.'
