Paddy Power plc wishes to announce that Mr John Corcoran has retired from the
board of the company with immediate effect. Mr Corcoran's intended retirement
was announced in February 2004 on publication of the 2003 preliminary results.



The board would like to express their gratitude to John for his service to the
company as a founder, former chairman and non-executive director.
