Sports Direct International plc ('the Company') was notified on 16 September 2008 by Michael James Wallace Ashley that he continued to hold 410,400,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, but that by reason of the increase in the number of ordinary shares in issue with voting rights the percentage of such shares in which he was now interested in has reduced to 71.19% of such shares.
