Transaction in Own Shares

Sports Direct International plc ("Sports Direct") today, through Charles Stanley & Co. Limited purchased 137,508 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 284.75 pence per ordinary share.

Following the above purchase, the Group holds 42,137,508 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 598,464,861.
